The following are suggested guidelines for becoming a
Spin-valve Bench (SVB) expert. Steps 1 and 2 inform on how you establish initial rapid proficiency in the use of
SVB. The remaining steps offer tips on how to build on these initial steps to become an advanced user.
Step 1. Familiarize yourself with the main elements of the
SVB user interface by
running the application (click here to learn how) and by reviewing the topic
SVB user interface.
Step 2. Carefully go through the tutorial Using
SVB, which is the first tutorial in the SVB
tutorials'
page. This is also the first tutorial found in chapter 2 of the SVB user
booklet that is installed with the software.
Step 3. Refer to chapter 3 of the user booklet to learn about the
mathematical models used by SVB.
Step 4. Press the Help button located in the SVB
program window as you use the software for instant access to the context-sensitive online help
topic about the SVB feature that you are currently using.
