The integrated design manager is the starting point for building a Magsimus design.

A typical Magsimus design session entails the adding of new design groups, the modification of existing groups and the population of the groups with design primitives (groups, single elements, arrays, probes and shields), the definition of mechanical motions, electrical circuits, group and component-level data output etc. All of this is accomplished with the design manager. The design manager consists of two areas:

An action toolbar at the top. Add a component or import external designs by clicking on the appropriate icon on this toolbar.

The system-structure list below the action tool bar. The system and its components are listed in the system-structure list. The entries of the list are appropriately indented to reflect the system hierarchy. Identifying icons for the primitive types accompany each entry of the list. Click and hold down the right mouse in this window to display a pop-up menu for carrying out the actions of the design manager.
