The layout and features of Magsimus' graphical user interface (GUI) are carefully calibrated to ensure a friendly and intuitive designing experience. System, group and component editing are accomplished by  dialog boxes in which related input fields are organized under appropriate tabs. The user can take advantage of (and indeed add to) an available materials' database, for rapid material data input.

Magsimus provides for easy configuring to your taste of start-up and simulation environment attributes (color scheme, default simulation type, units etc.) .

Magsimus offers a comprehensive context-sensitive online help feature; gain ready access to this anywhere in the software by pressing the ubiquitous Help button.

The application window consists of the following main areas:

Design Manager. Provides buttons and short-cut menus for adding, deleting  editing, and cloning groups and components of a design.  You can define motions for groups and pattern array components into custom shapes.

System-display window. Displays a three-dimensional rendering of designs. This window updates continually as changes are made to the system properties. Selected design primitives (individual groups and components), views and projection styles of the system can be displayed. The user can fully interact with the design even during a simulation. Design groups and components can be stretched, moved and rotated, and property editor windows, field viewers and other features can be launched from this window using available short-cut menus.

Main toolbar. Offers the means for initiating a calculation, manipulating the displayed system views and storing and playing back of data generated during a calculation.
