Magsimus provides a Batch Job Manager (BJM) feature for conveniently running simulations (jobs), singly or in batch, in the foreground or background during a design session. This facility also provides a means for monitoring and controlling submitted background jobs.

The user typically collates separately-created designs in the BJM, and then executes them in sequence either directly in the loaded Magsimus session or as background processes. Each simulation is saved to a specified destination file when completed. This feature is ideal for example for the unattended running of a batch of simulations during after-office hours. An effective use of this capability is for chaining a sequence of related simulations. For example, the output of one simulation may be used as the input for the next simulation. The job specifications constitute a template that can be saved to file and re-used in separate Magsimus sessions.

The stand-alone utility MagJob serves the same purpose as the BJM for all MagOasis VMS applications.
